The Evolution of the Irish Pub (Brewing News)

The traditional Irish pub is filled with  lively ethnic music, dark wooden decor, walls adorned with pictures from the scenic countryside and of course, the green, white, and orange flag. The food menus usually consist of Ireland’s traditional fare or even American foods with a slight Irish twist. But instead of washing down the crispy fish and chips or corned beef sandwich with a predictable Guinness or Harps, bar goers are now reaching for a Three Floyd’s Alpha King or a Bell’s Two Hearted Ale to quench their thirsts. Beer menus have been rapidly evolving at Irish pubs everywhere. This St. Patrick’s Day, the masses may be passing on their standard Guinness or the nightmarish green-dyed beer for a unique tasting, quality craft beer instead….
