Jeffrey Levin is a composer, sound designer, music director,  and instructor living in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated with a BM in music composition from Columbia College Chicago where he studied composition with Dr. Marcos Balter and Dr. Patricia Morehead, piano performance with Dennis Luxion, and conducting with Russel Vinnick. He completed a Masters of Music degree in composition at DePaul University under the direction of Dr. Seung-Ah Oh, Dr. Kurt Westerberg, and Dr. Christopher Wendell Jones. His music has been performed by musicians from ensemble dal niente, Gaudete Brass Quintet, International Contemporary Ensemble, Third Coast Percussion, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, and more. For theater his original music, sound design, and music direction has been featured at several Chicago theaters including Profiles (Artistic Associate), Stage Left, Urban Theater Company, Collaboraction as well as for productions at Columbia College and McGill University. As a performer, he plays piano for various events and productions in Chicago. He also teaches music theory and composition at the Merit School of Music, DePaul University, and privately.
